The Outsell Signature Experience — Big Week Coming Up!

The Outsell Signature Experience — Big Week Coming Up!

A colleague reminded me the other day that the clocks go back in the UK this weekend, right on Hallowe’en. Wow… where has the year gone? It seems like only yesterday we were just starting to plan out the Outsell Signature Experience, co-produced with JEGI CLARITY. And here we are right in the thick of it, with the absolute biggest week of the quarter-long occasion just around the corner.

I explained back in the summer that we decided this year to extend our normal annual Outsell Signature Event to a full three months of sessions, which are also available on demand year ‘round. And what a great decision that turned out to be — we’ve already had several weeks of outlooks, council meetings, roundtables, analyst meet-ups, and even a wonderful face-to-face in London. If you haven’t signed up yet, not to worry… there is more great programming yet to come, with a jam-packed week of sessions on tap.

Tuesday, November 2 features not one, not two, but three outlooks! What’s really going on with the state of the pandemic? Dr. Steven Simpson, President of the American College of Chest Physicians (CHEST) will help us tell fact from fiction. Wilma Jordan, Founder & CEO North America of JEGI CLARITY, and Michael Struble, Senior Partner at Eagletree Capital, will provide essential wisdom on M&A activity. And Robin Bew, Managing Director, Economist Intelligence Unit, will give us essential intel on what’s happening in China. To top off the day, Outsell’s Simon Alterman will present the Outsell Innovation Benchmark, focusing in on our key theme this year.

Wednesday, November 3 starts with an Outsell Signature Experience tradition, A View from the Top, this year featuring Steve Hasker, President and CEO of Thomson Reuters. Continuing on our central topic, we have two sessions on business model innovation, featuring Aaron Asadi, Senior Vice President, Tech, Games & Entertainment at Future plc and Gemma Postlethwaite, CEO of Arizent. James Aylett, Chief Data Officer at Annalect will help us understand the delicate balancing act between data and privacy.

Thursday, November 4 includes four sessions that cover a lot of ground. Graham Tilbury from FTI Consulting and Mark Stignani of Barnes & Thornburg will talk to Outsell’s Hugh Logue about automation while Lee Schneider from Ava Labs explains why blockchain needs to be on everyone’s radar. Dr. Alexandra Freeman from the University of Cambridge and entrepreneur/investor Jan Reichelt will discuss new approaches to scholarly communications with Alexandra (Alix) Vance of AIP Publishing. Dr. Alyasah Ali Sewell from Emory University and The Race and Policing Project will explore data equity and issues in the use of administrative data in identifying race, ethnicity, and racism.

As you can see, we have a lot in store next week. These innovative sessions will provide essential information as we move planning for 2022 into high gear. Please check the program for more details and register today… we’re looking forward to seeing you soon!
