We published details of the Outsell Growth Framework in an earlier blog post. Here’s a simple checklist for keeping key milestones in front of you as you operate and grow in the data, information, and analytics economy.

✔︎Do you have an explicit mechanism to build trust into your brand and ensure that it stays there?

✔︎Do you have an explicit vision and purpose?

✔︎ Do you have a strategic plan operating about two years out and rolling as each quarter gets closer?

✔︎Is that plan steeped in understanding of where you sit competitively in the overall value chain in which you participate?

✔︎Do you have explicit target markets and personas within them with real business problems that you will uniquely serve?

✔︎Do you have a product roadmap that is executed alongside your strategic plan, with the plan guiding strategy execution?

✔︎Does your product roadmap rest alongside a data or content roadmap and the technology architecture for both? We call this the three legs of the stool, and they must operate in tandem.

✔︎Are you leveraging a partner ecosystem to build better and faster?

✔︎Do your marketing, sales, channel strategy, and GTM generally align with price points, packaging and product lines?

✔︎Do your sales goals and marketing goals align?

✔︎Do you measure customer success?

✔︎Does the entire exec team have common goals combined with individual ones that cascade from the checklist above?

✔︎Are there KPIs to measure them?

✔︎Do you have an official scorekeeper in finance measuring business performance and being the “gospel of truth” for your organization and leadership team? Are the KPIs embedded in the financial and monthly dashboards that are set at the close of each month and used universally by the exec team?

✔︎Do you have explicit data privacy and security policies?

✔︎Do you have a published ethics and integrity statement visible inside and outside your organization?

✔︎Do you have an explicit mechanism to build trust into your brand and ensure it stays there?

✔︎Do you have the talent that’s necessary for you to succeed?
