Outsell Signature Event Announces — Lara Boro: From 1843 to 2043 and Beyond: Staying Relevant
In an era of radical reinvention, with the world-changing at a record pace, how do you keep an iconic brand relevant and prepare it for the next 100 years? How do you keep any brand relevant in this day and age? To answer this question, we turned to Lara Salameh Boro, Chief Executive of The Economist Group, who leads one of our industry’s iconic companies and stewards a brand that has been with us since 1843.
Lara arrived at The Economist Group just over a year ago from Informa, where she was CEO Informa Intelligence; before that, she was the CEO International of Top Right Group. She has held positions in regions around the world, bringing a diverse perspective to a global brand and one that must stay relevant in very diverse markets with diverse audiences. She is active on boards and one of the most forward-thinking executives in this industry.
We are so excited that Lara is going to keynote this important topic because when everything else is changing, an iconic brand must stay, well, iconic. However, it must also live on and thrive as the changing needs of audiences and customers dictate. This business is partly marketing-driven and partly funded by end-user subscriptions. It is a brand that continues to modernize and stay relevant in a market where pressure is fierce and the need for trusted voices is higher than ever.
The Economist is a preeminent brand known the world over. Lara took the reins during stable times and is now running a company during another turbulent period. What lessons does she have for us?
