Welcome a New Outsell Partner: Think Data Group

Welcome a New Outsell Partner: Think Data Group

You may be feeling a bit of a sense of déjà vu right now. Didn’t we just introduce a new partner company last week? Indeed we did — we were pleased to welcome Grant Hunter and Steve Johnson of Product Growth Leaders to Outsell. But when we say our partner network is constantly growing, we mean it! We are always on a quest to better serve our clients, and growing our collective expertise through partnerships is a key part of that effort.

In that vein, this week we are super excited to announce that Barry Gold of Think Data Group and his colleagues Steve Rand and Mike Valant are joining us as our latest partners. They have been part of our consulting partner network for a while, but this year, we are formalizing their affiliation to take offerings to market that help clients with the complete data lifecycle.

Since 1997, Outsell has been helping clients source, license, and deploy third-party data and information, and we’ve also helped vendors of data and information build better products to improve time to market and time to money. We did all the work from data assessment, to market potential determination, to market size calculation, and so much more, all while helping data buyers find the right source at the right time for the right investment. However, what we didn’t do was represent buyers and sellers or take their content to market.

Barry and his team have spent years in licensing data, acting as agents and helping buyers source and sellers license. They, too, have done work at the beginning and end of the lifecycle. Together, we feel our skills are a great and unbeatable combination. With them as our partners, we can cover the necessary steps, including representing buyers and sellers and helping our clients with the full lifecycle — not just the steps before and after.

Barry and team were our partners last year, and we worked on great opportunity projects for clients who had data exhaust they thought they could monetize. We evaluated the data, built data dictionaries, built lists of applications for the data, prioritized them, and market-tested them. Some would hunt, and some wouldn’t. Now we can work with clients to actually take the data to market and work at the back-end to measure performance and complete the cycle.

Data and information are what Outsell is all about. If you’re reading this, there’s a pretty good chance that they are a big part of what you’re about, too. The world is changing rapidly, which can be challenging, but the good news is that you don’t have to figure it out alone. We’re here to help you, and our network of expert partners is also here to help.

Please join us in warmly welcoming Barry and his team, and do let us know how we can be of service to you and yours.
