Should I go to Outsell’s Signature Event?

Should I go to Outsell’s Signature Event?

You’ll want to consider attending if you’re in the business of data and information, in any format, through any platform, software enabled or not.

Believe it or not, I get that question a lot. My first response is never in life “should” anyone do anything. People who know me well, particularly my team members, know I’ve banished the word “should” from Outsell’s lexicon, particularly in our analytic voice, along with the words “busy” and “assume.” I dislike very little in life, but those three words are at the top of my list. Aaackkk! “Should” sounds righteous. I will be the last person on the planet to tell anyone what they “should” do.

My second response, if you’re after a recommendation about attending Outsell’s Signature Event, is to know this:

You’ll only want to consider attending if you are a CEO, COO, Managing Director, President, Head of Publishing, or Division Head of a data, information, publishing, analytics, or enterprise. In other words, you’re in the business of data and information, in any format, through any platform, software enabled or not.

If you are interested in growing revenue in the data economy then this event is for you. Whether you’re using data to improve your information business sales, marketing, operations, OR you’re using data and analytics, to enhance your core offerings, this event is for you. We’re taking our executives on a growth journey. We’ll focus on the M&A market and economy, which are essential backdrops to success. We’ll also review amazing case studies on transforming traditional offerings to analytic ones, using AI and machine learning, ensuring data readiness at scale, and, most of all, looking at security. Equifax anyone??? This singular event is the largest travesty our industry is facing and security is the topic du jour now. Our industry just took a major hit, and we are going to talk about it. Jim Smith, CEO of Thomson Reuters, will give an unprecedented view from the top, and we need his views now more than ever. And we’re going to be looking at international growth, the ethics of AI, and how we make sure we are applying it in a values-driven way.

I know that at this event, leaders’ minds expand. They get the gift of reflection. They learn new things, meet new people, and get deals done. It is the best day and a half you can give yourself out of the office, and I see so many execs who won’t give themselves the time they need to reflect on their business, their teams, and what’s ahead.

So, give yourself a gift of experience. Your satisfaction is guaranteed. And if you decide to come, please don’t do it because you feel you should. Make it must-have. Make it fun, make it an annual pledge to yourself. But please — no “should.” We can’t wait to see you there!
