Data Readiness at Scale

Data Readiness at Scale

We’ve written about the need for ongoing, consistent, normalized, clean, quality data flowing through the AI and machine learning pipes. It’s what we call “feeding the beast.” It’s a must in order to achieve success in the digital machine age. At Outsell’s Signature Event this year, we’re taking leaders in data, information, and analytics on a growth journey, focusing on the imperatives needed for “Driving Growth in the Data Economy.” And there is no essential action more vital than having data ready at scale, ready to feed the beast and make sure the engines of progress, or rather the algorithms of progress, hum. Every leader will have different data and different scale needs, but there is no doubt that the largest commercial information solutions firms, or even the specialized small ones, will need data ready at scale in order to perform. You’ll soon read in Outsell’s Annual Industry Outlook, which we’ll announce at the event and make available to industry shortly thereafter, one of Leigh’s Watson Healy’s key themes: focusing on good data, not big data. Because big data isn’t big if it’s dirty. Plain and simple.

In thinking about this topic and who best to address it, we invited Lisa Hook, President and Chief Executive Officer, Neustar, Inc. to discuss ensuring Data Readiness at Scale. Neustar crunches some of the biggest, cleanest data on the planet. It does so in massive volumes, in near real time to validate identity for risk, marketing, security, and communication applications. It powers some of the most powerful Fortune 500 companies and has been a powerhouse in the data field for years. She hired their SVP and Chief Data & Analytics Officer, Venkat Achanta, from Walmart. He’s now responsible for expanding Neustar’s authoritative identity and attribution platform to find innovative ways to create connected customer experiences across people, places, and things. Neustar is a data powerhouse, and we could not think of a better leader than Lisa to explore this essential topic. She joined us moons ago to rave reviews, and we’re so thrilled to host her again and love that she’s joining us this year at Outsell’s Signature Event, at the lovely Boston Harbor Hotel, October 4–5. Get ready, get set, get data go! We wait to see you in Boston, by and for CEOs, COOs, Managing Directors and Presidents in the global data and information industry. Register today! We’ll see you in a month.
