As Outsell’s VP and lead analyst of data monetization and benchmarks programs, Michael is a thought leader and market analyst of the data economy, providing business strategy guidance (organic and inorganic) that empowers CEOs, CDOs, CSOs to scale their data business, applications, and platforms strategy. Michael leads the Outsell, Inc. functional operating benchmarks programs to understand data-intensive companies, the industries they serve, and the value-chains and market opportunities that are ahead of them.

With 35 years functional experience, Michael draws upon his experiences as a business strategy leader and GM of products and services in a range of both data and technology companies. Michael has led the development of data-centric products and services in a large telco provider and was responsible for shaping and informing the future business strategy with functional and industry insights as a part of the office of strategy in midsized and large technology companies, including IBM Software Group, IBM Watson, and IoT, which also included The Weather Company and Cognos.
